HISTORY

2007

Johnjay Chon and Charlie Shin, creators of R-16 Korea, annually invited frontrunners of the Breaking community to their event to discuss the future of competition Breaking and the development of new judging systems.

2012

Red Bull BC One facilitates a “meeting of the minds” in Rio de Janeiro, inviting frontrunners to explore the topic of unifying the top Breaking championships.

2013

Red Bull BC One facilitated a brainstorming conference in Berlin where promoters, top competitors and judges created the Undisputed, connecting the most prestigious solo Breaking competitions into the World B-Boy Series with their respective champions competing at a Masters championship.

As a part of the conversation it was to decided to create a new judging that would eventually become the ThreeFold and Trivium system which will be used at the Olympics in Paris 2024.

2014-2019

The first Undisputed World B-Boy Series kicks off in Paris for Battle Pro followed by R-16 Korea, Battle of the Year, Red Bull BC One, The Notorious IBE, UK B-Boy Championships, Freestyle Session and Outbreak Europe. The first Undisputed Masters was held in London, UK.

In later years the series was joined by Silverback Open Championships, Unbreakable, Taipei B-Boy City and Green Panda. From 2014 to 2019 the Undisputed “World B-Boy Series” featured 52 competitions and 6 Masters events.

2022

As of 2022, after a 2 year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Undisputed presents a new series of Masters events in London, Amsterdam, Los Angeles and Tokyo. The tour will feature invited Olympic contenders plus current world and continental champions. Joining them in the competition will be the winners from open solo men, women and crew qualifiers.
