ABOUT UNDISPUTED MASTERS
Breaking was born on the streets of The Bronx, New York in the mid ’70s. A phenomenon transcending boundaries propelled by the world’s youth. Today Breaking is practiced across every corner of the globe and attracts people who come to witness competition on an epic scale.
Founded by Tyrone Van der Meer, Oliver “Hooch” Whittle and Thomas Hergenroether in 2013, Undisputed was created to connect the most prestigious Breaking competitions into a world series with their respective champions competing at a Masters championship.
From 2014 to 2019 the Undisputed “World B-Boy Series” featured 54 competitions at events like R16 Korea, Red Bull BC One, Freestyle Session, Unbreakable, Outbreak, The Notorious IBE, Battle Pro, Green Panda, Taipei BBoy City and Silverback Open. 6 Masters events took place in London, Marseille, Prague, San Diego, Marrakesh and Malmo.
As of 2022 after a 2 year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Undisputed presents a new series of Masters events in London, Amsterdam, Los Angeles and Tokyo. The tour will feature invited Olympic contenders plus current world and continental champions. Joining them in the competition will be the winners from open solo men, womens and crew qualifiers.
In partnership with FUJIFILM instax Undisputed Masters will showcase top competition Breaking ahead of its inclusion at the Paris 2024 Olympics. The partnership signifies further mainstream awareness for Breaking culture and its new generation of athletes.
