Jan 18, 2025 marked the first edition of the FUJIFILM instax™ Undisputed on African soil. Held at the impressive V&A Waterfront, participants from 14 different countries worldwide, including 7 from the African continent, competed across three categories: solo men, solo women, and crew battle. Accompanied by the amazing beats of legendary Grandmaster Ready D and under the keen observation of seasoned judges from the breaking community -such as Kevin (GBR), Storm (GER), Vee (RSA), Genetics (RSA), and Mark (UGA), competitors gave their all.

The Cape Town atmosphere sparked with energy as b-boys and b-girls showed their prowess on the floor. B-girl Alessandrina from Italy and b-boy Djibril from Belgium both showed impressive victories in the women’s solo and men’s solo category, which highlights the global reach and quality level of breakers today. Additionally, powerhouse crews from diverse corners of the globe engaged in intense battles in the crew category. With the ‘Far from Home’ crew coming out on top. 

Today was the World Final of the FUJIFILM instax™ Undisputed in Tokyo, held at the New Pier Hall. Dancers from 20 different countries faced off in four categories: junior, solo men, solo women, and crew. The battles were pumped up by the legendary DJ Nobunaga (HOL), DJ Flaya from France, and a panel of top-notch judges from the breaking world were on hand to watch the action unfold.

The energy in the venue was electric, with b-boys and b-girls from across the globe putting it all on the floor. In the end, b-girl Syssy from France took home the win in the women’s solo, b-boy Jeffro from the USA claimed victory in the men’s solo, and b-boy HaLuTo from Japan triumphed in the juniors category. It was a clear sign of just how international and high-level the breaking scene is right now. In the crew battles, powerhouse teams such as Jinjo Crew (KOR), Body Carnival (JAP), Mortal Combat (JAP), Found Nation (JAP) went head-to-head, with the Red Bull BC One Stars (WorldWide) coming out on top.
